Product Overview
Clear DECT 6.0 Audio
The VTech Communications DM221 uses DECT 6.0 digital technology for crystal clear transmission. It eliminates the annoying white noise common with analog monitors, so the only sounds you hear come from your baby.
Visual Sound Indicators
LEDs on the parent unit indicate the level of sound in your baby's room. This lets you visually monitor noise levels even when the audio is turned down. A soothing light on the baby unit gently illuminates a dark nursery.
Flexible Listening Modes
You can choose to hear sounds from the baby unit all the time. Alternatively, set it to hear only sounds that exceed a certain level. This flexibility helps you monitor without constant background noise.
Power and Range
The parent unit runs on a rechargeable Ni-MH battery or AC power for continuous monitoring. It offers up to 1,000 feet of range, giving you freedom to move around your home. A full battery charge takes 12 hours.
Setup and Interference Tips
Keep the parent unit within range of the baby unit, but not closer than 1 meter or 3 feet. Nearby cordless phones or electronics may interfere, so separate devices as far apart as possible. Reset by disconnecting power from both units for one minute, then reconnecting.
